US Sailing Certification at JWorld

While attending JWorld you may opt for certification through the United States Sailing Association.

Both JWorld and our instructors are certified by US Sailing.

US Sailing is the national governing body of sailing as designated by the US Congress. They are an independent non-profit national authority that offers several levels of certification from Basic Keelboat to Offshore Passagemaking.

Certification is desirable for those interested in chartering or renting a boat and for those whose insurance companies offer reduces rates for certification.

In other parts of the world it is a requirement that you have proper certification prior to being able to charter, rent or insure a boat. It is our opinion that this requirement will hold true in the US and Caribbean before too long.

You must pass both a written and on the water evaluation that JWorld fully prepares you for.
